2020 Olive Harvest

The 2020 Olive Harvest is just around the corner.

The early ripening of olives has meant we will start processing and harvesting earlier than we have ever done before.

Contract harvesting will be very limited in 2020 but slots are available. 

Contract processing available from 31 March, initially  5 days per week and 7 days from 4 May until the end of June, then as required for July & August. Please provide notice for your processing needs so we can schedule you in.

ESSENTIAL COVID-19 PROVISIONS ON SITE AT PRESTON VALLEY GROVE FOR PROCESSING CUSTOMERS

With the current situation around Covid-19 and restrictions placed upon all of us, we are confident the Western Australian State Government will consider services to agriculture “essential” and hence remain open at this most critical of stages.

When you arrive at Preston Valley Grove, the process shed will be closed to the public. Please do not get out of your vehicle and enter the shed or wander around the process facility.  This goes for olive drop off and oil pick up.

STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE we will come to you – please sound your horn on arrival or call the farm number – 9732 1097. 

Please be assured we will be undertaking all health and welfare precautions in the handling of your olives and your oil. Arrangement for picking up your oil can be made with either Dave or Mick at the time of delivery of your fruit.

Awards at 2014 South West EVOO Competition

Preston Valley Grove sweeps the Class 4 awards – FLAVOURED OILS – getting GOLD / SILVER / BRONZE

GOLD – Rosemary Pressed Oil

SILVER – Lime Pressed Oil & Lemon Pressed for WA Artisan Producers Co-op

BRONZE – Chili Pressed

 

Gold at Perth Royal Show

Results from the Perth Royal Show Olive Oil Competition have just been announced, with the 2 flavoured oils entered winning GOLD.

The Basil flavoured oil came 2nd in class, 1 point behind the class winner.

The Garlic flavoured oil came 4th in class, 3 points behind the class winner.

South West Olive Association

Preston Valley Grove is pleased to continue to offer its support to the South West Olive Association. Both as a member and industry sponsor.

Preston Valley Grove is proud to sponsor the South West Olive Oil Competition. The competition is held in September each year, with the 2014 registration closing on 29 August.
